MK Dons have signed goalkeeper Tom Finch, who joins the club from Norwich City.

The 20-year-old moves from Norfolk to Buckinghamshire on a permanent basis, with the goalkeeper signing a contract of undisclosed length at Stadium MK.

Finch is the Dons’ sixth permanent signing ahead of the new season, following the previously announced arrivals of Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy, Aaron Collins, Will Collar and Gethin Jones.

The goalkeeper had initially come through the youth ranks at Cambridge United, having been involved with the U’s for a decade before moving to Norwich in 2023 and spending two years on the books with the Canaries.

Finch played a role in a Cambridge side that managed a surprise run to the FA Youth Cup Quarter Finals in 2022/23, while he also spent time out on loan with AFC Dunstable and Corby Town.

In an arrival interview with the MK Dons website, Finch said he was looking forward to working with his new teammates.

He said, “It’s brilliant. There’s a good vibe around the place, there are high expectations, and we all want to achieve them as best we can.

“I’m looking for my next chapter and to knuckle down and get going.

“I’ve had some brilliant loans, being a young keeper and getting experience in men’s football is vital. To come away with 50 appearances is so important for a young keeper.”
